Fortnite

Fortnite from Epic Games first arrived on PC as an early access game in 2017. Featuring a mode called Save the World, players could jump online with a group of friends to collect resources, build structures, and defend against waves of zombie-like creatures called Husks. Fortnite then soared to popularity upon the release of its free-to-play mode, Battle Royale. It was a unique take on an already popularized and relatively fresh genre seen in games such as H1Z1, Arma 2, and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Today, Fortnite: Battle Royale is a cultural phenomenon, the most popular online video game in the U.S.
